Location – Brisbane, Australia
ICRI 2024 will be hosted in the beautiful city of Brisbane, the capital of the state of Queensland in Australia. Brisbane is also known as Meanjin in the language of its traditional owners, the Turrbal, Yuggera and Jagera People. With a population of 2.52 million, Brisbane is Australia’s third largest city and is situated in the southeastern coastal region of Queensland.
Brisbane is home to four world-class universities, more than 100 pioneering health and biotech facilities and a strong business and entrepreneurial ecosystem. This city also hosts several outstanding research infrastructures like the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network (TERN), Mass Spectrometry Facility, the National Imaging Facility and nodes to other significant RIs like the Australian National Fabrication Facility. Visitors to the city will have the opportunity to tour a few of these sites during the week of the conference in our side events.

Brisbane is widely accessible to global attendees, with direct flight routes reaching cities across Asia, the Pacific, North America and Europe. The Brisbane International Airport is located only 20 minutes from the city centre and there are taxis, trains or buses available at the airport. This will also be a hybrid event, so if you are unable to attend in person, there is still plenty of opportunity to be involved online.
